Walks and Pictures
Here are my latest pictures from being out and about over the last week or so!

Saturday April 28
A jelly fungus, witch's butter in Lincoln.

Cedar Apple Rust, also in Lincoln.

Sunday April 29
Inky cap mushrooms by Leverett Pond in Brookline.

Dead painted turtle in Ward's Pond, Brookline (or is it Boston?).

Monday April 30
A deer's leg found in Stony Brook Reservation, Roslindale. There was no sign of the rest of the deer.

A pygmy mole cricket also in Stony Brook. I found it while I was stroking the moss!

Spring azure butterfly in Stony Brook. This was a male as there were no black borders on the upper side of the wing. Very difficult to get a picture of the lovely blue wings though.

Witches butter! What a fantastic name! I love common plant names. Great photos. Never heard of pygmy mole crickets! So tiny. Terrific series. Life, death, and in between. Wonderful. :)

My father lives on the edge of this forest in Dedham (on the Boston Border) and I have seen Deer in OUR YARD before. Unbelievable.
